Barcelona are hoping Chelsea makes an offer for Man Utd target Frenkie de Jong

Manchester United are battling to get a deal over the line as it stands despite accepting a fee with Barca for the midfielder's services, a major stumbling block being a crucial piece of wages owed by the club, whilst De Jong also does not seem particularly convinced on a move to Old Trafford. He has also returned to training with the Catalans.

Reports says Barcelona are aware that Chelsea are preparing a proper bid for the Dutch player. They have made their interest known over the past few hours with an offer believed to be installed.
