Martinelli celebrates his goal with his teammates

Arsenal Snatched all three points from Crystal Palace

The gunners came out victorious in the first London derby match of the season with a comfortable two goal lead at selhurst park.

Arsenal took the lead in the 20 minutes courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli's header. The Brazil International was quick to react to Zinchenko's header nodding past the Palace  shot stopper making it one nil at half time after palace failed to clear their lines from the result in corner.

Palace came out strong in the second half and was really threatening. The Eagles came close to scoring after Eberechi Eze was put through on goal by Wilfred Zaha but the latter missed the glorious opportunity lashing it straight to the body of the Arsenal keeper. Palace came close to scoring on some occasions but the gunners defence were really solid and composed all through with Gabriel and Saliba really combining and holding firm the gunners backline.

But the gunners later managed to find the back of the net close to stoppage time after a poor defending from Marc Guehi. The palace defender was at right place at the wrong time nodding past his own goal keeper from a shot from an Arsenal player making it two nil.

The gunners top the epl table for the moment with some games still to be played later tomorrow.
